Cycling is by far, one of the most authentic ways to explore Dalmatia. Except for the city of Zadar, the Zadar county covers many different land zones that include different geographical features – mountains, fields, islands, and karsts.
Zadar bike routes include more than 20 different tours. In addition to it, each of the routes includes shorter trekking variations that are suitable for couples with families. The Zadar bike route that you are going to choose depends on your preferences and the location of your accommodation.

Zadar – Nin – Bike Route for Culture Lovers
This bike route is approximately 45 km long and will take you from the city of Zadar to Nin, a small ancient town famous for the saltworks, mud baths, and the smallest cathedral in the world. If you are up for additional sightseeing you can continue further to Vrsi and get back to Zadar with a different route, through fields in the Zadar hinterland.
Posedarje Bike Route for Nature Lovers
Starting from Maslenica, this circular route is about 60km long. This route will take you along the Novigrad and Karin bay, as well as the beautiful Zrmanja river. Cycling along this route will take you along the Maslenica bridge and towns of Posedarje, Obrovac, and Novigrad.
Island Bike Route from Zadar
If you would like to visit some of the islands in Zadar bay by bike all you’ve got to do is hop on the ferry in Zadar and reach some of the most amazing islands – Pašman, Ugljan or Dugi Otok. Each of the islands offers magnificent routes with little or no traffic and various routes for all kinds of cycling adventures!
